Brewster F2A Buffalo

The Brewster F2A Buffalo is a little known no so successful fighter aircraft, originally build for Carrier use.
They proved to be little successful against the Japanese airplanes, and were quickly replaced with the Grummen F4F Wildcat.

They were however more successful in Finnish service, against the Soviet Union, some Finnish pilots even reach ace status flying the Brewster F2A Buffalo.

The model depicted here is one airplane that was used by the KNIL (The Dutch Colonial Army), these airplanes were used against the Japanese attackers of the Dutch colonies in Indonesia.
